About

Our shared experiences, shared histories, attitudes, ideals, visions are some of the things that make us Americans.  Through history we can better gain an understanding of how we have become the American people we are today.

With an accurate recounting of American history we can better  know the forces and dynamics that have shaped us into a common people. The myriad diverse threads of our history must be acknowledged, shared,  preserved, and passed on if we as a people are to be a house undivided.

The careful study of all of our history, the adequate preservation of historical sites, and the dutiful public interpretation of these places not only contribute to the psychological well-being and self-awareness of the nation, but is essential to arriving at any modern notions of social justice.
